The Devil Wears Prada is a metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio. Their music reflects their Christian background in the lyrics. Their music incorporates a mix of screamed and clean vocals. Their name reflects the idea of “anti-materialism” and was created before the band read the novel. | ||||
The Devil Wears Prada started in 2005. They released a demo names “patterns of a horizon.” Their first full length album was released August 22, 2006 and was called “dear love; a beautiful discord.” Their next album was called “plagues” and was released August 21, 2007. Both these albums were released with rise records. The Devil Wears Prada performed a cover of a rap song called “still fly” that was featured on the album “punk goes crunk”. The band participated in Taco Bell's 2008 installment of Feed the Beat. On October 24, the band went through to the first round as one of the top 24 bands, and continued through to the top 12 bands. On November 7, the band was eliminated from the final round.
